We're Back! Major Update

It's been quite a while hasn't it? Well it's time for a long overdue update on what has been happening since last June!

We'll I've cut out a few members due to slacking, being difficult and overall just not doing their jobs.
Along with working my own job and trying to squeeze in time to do my own duties and work on HeartBeat.
It's been pretty chaotic.

However previous member, Sikktwized, has a friend who has joined the group and is my co-developer on the game, as well as promoting it, managing the games steam group, Facebook Like Page, and doing some of the graphic design on the game.

We do have some exciting news. We have been approved to develop games on the Nintendo Wii U, PlayStation Mobile and are working towards Android.

We actually already have our first PlayStation Mobile game up on the PlayStation Store, its a small little exploration game called "Woodland Walker" you just walk around in a forest looking for secrets and admiring the ambiance the game has to offer, and we do keep it updated and make sure it has been patched when need be.

We are currently doing a major site improvement to add more site traffic, as PSM (PlayStation Mobile) users can access the site through the app.

That's all we got for now.

But stay tuned!

HeartBeat 3.0

I recently had to completely re install the Windows 7 OS on my laptop because a buggy update screwed with my OS and rendered it unusable. So i had to completely start over for the most part (although thank goodness i made backups) and I completely lost ALL Data from HeartBeat 2.0 (although i had 1.0 all backed up) So had spent the past few weeks working on "HeartBeat 3.0" which a lot of friends have tried and have said looks so much better and a lot more polished.

Along with that, i recently got a Patching System for Unity 3D that lets me update the games to newer builds so i don't have to constantly re-upload the game over and over again. We are also working on a Dedicated Server to host these patches so the integrated in game patch check will function properly

We have also switched from Mediafire to Dropbox. why?

  1. Dropbox is free
  2. It's so much easier to share content on there
  3. No size limitations of upload

As HeartBeat got bigger, mediafire became harder to use and once it reached 400mb it was no longer of use to us, and we had to switch (also people seem to trust dropbox far more than Mediafire)

We'll keep you posted.

After a while and a very long Hiatus, I'm back, well we are. The Industry is really just me and Leo now, but that's OK, we are still getting work done and trying to keep things open.

Now onto the point of this blog.

Heartbeat is getting a complete revamp, and it's already looking very good.

Along with a new artwork. We've updated a few things

Picture
This is a screencap of what it looks like at the moment. As you can see the landscape looks alot better. So does the skybox, its actually got detail to it.

Along with that update We also have added some new things

  • Improved controls
  • Wider, and more expanded map
  • New and Improved lighting
  • Shadows.

The beta won't be out for a while but when it is, we want the quality assurance that it will be a good beta test and try to eliminate as many glitches and bugs and exploits as possible.

Long Overdue Update

8/1/2013

Well, Happy 1st of August Everybody, i hope you have had a great summer.

I do apologize for not keeping the site up to date with content and keeping you up to date with Games. The reason for this is i have recently been employed at a Burger King and have been working pretty hard, but hey, money right?

Anyway, In my spare time i have gotten a much more in depth and rich back-story for Heartbeat written and some new things will be added to the game.

I'll give you a little excerpt from one of the Journals you will find in the game, this will help keep the story more interesting and unravel new clues and tips on the demon and the main antagonist for the game.

Note: This WILL have some foul language.
"Journal Entry 0001749883-B

The creature seems to be predatory to fear and stress, I have tried my best to be as apathetic and calm as possible and hidden, the creature hasn't found me yet, my hypothesis is that trying to keep calm and emotionless will make it harder for the creature to track you down and cause any sort of harm. If seen what it does to its victims...it..it... it isn't pretty, nor something i would wish upon my worst enemy, no one deserves it. I saw it with a live man, poor bastard..... hard to keep calm and not puke my guts out at what it did. I would go into more detail, but its too much shock, and I've seen my fair share of brutality, being in the Marines, seen a man get his dome popped like a big zit. That was a kiddies cartoon compared to what i fucking witnessed...

I've hidden a stash of various supplies throughout the forest, stuff to keep you calm, shit I'm against, but fuck when your staring at a fucking creature that could have only spawned from the nastiest part of hell itself and you've seen what you hope is the worst of it, to hell with morality and principles, it's life or death and there isn't a damn thing you can do about it. The Supply Caches are near the swamp, in a concrete pipe sticking out of the hill near the radio tower that spawned the thing, and in an abandoned shack. "
Alright, well, i hope you enjoyed that and there will be more coming and a new beta release of heartbeat coming soon.

Now, on to feedback.

Some of our fans have been complaining about the game being

  • Copy of Slender
  • Buggy as Hell
  • Seems half-assed

I'd like to take some time to address these complaints and criticisms

*Copy of Slender: I've actually had the idea for Heartbeat for a while now, since i was 15 actually, i was in the phase where i was extremely interested in camping, ghosts, woods, and paranormal phenomena and I had formulated the idea of Heartbeat during my free time in school, i had tried making the idea happen through Source SDK and i could just never figure it out, and i tried making it a Batch file game and  i just couldn't make it due to the fact that you cannot really deliver a scary game well through Batch programming, good story sure, but today you just have to experience the scare through something like a 3rd person or First Person view and not through text.  When i found Unity 3D when i turned 19, I had alot more experience with computers and such to have an actual idea on what i was actually doing and i learned how to use and utilize Unity to make Heartbeat happen, and from the feedback I've received about the Beta, its doing its Job on the following

  • Providing a dark and spine chilling environment
  • Having an interesting story-line
  • Having a nice and cool map to traverse and thoroughly explore

*Buggy as Hell: Honestly, guys? Come on, You should know a beta is a release to see how the game looks so far and to find bugs with it. The least you could do is report the bugs so i can properly fix them, i have put our groups contact info up so you can contact us for whatever you need.

*Seems half-assed: Again, still in beta, beta's aren't finished projects, of course they are going to seem "half-assed" that's why we want your feedback on what you feel needs to be done.

Alright. Thanks for reading

Yet another update

3/31/2013

Hey guys, It's BansheeTK here bringing you another update.

I've made some small modifications to the site. Such as

  • Font changes
  • Link Colors (Links show up blue, Visited links show up red, and when you hover over a link it shows up green)
  • Modified Page Tab names

Also the Batch Game "Haunted House" has been patched and completed. So if your interested in that, go to the Batch Games tab in the Gaming Hub to check it out.

Heartbeat has also been heavily updated. and 1.3.0 Beta is up for the download.

You can read about all the updates and patch notes on the pages.

Also someone had asked

"Do your games get tested before you release them?"

Yes, i test them myself to make sure they are working properly, and i also make my friends test them. Although if i look at it and i see something that doesn't look right in the initial version, i go back and i edit and change it to make sure it looks good and operates right.

It's one thing to release a flawed product, but its another thing to my groups rep, and my own pride, because this is sort of a passion of mine and if i screw up, it hurts and i try to fix it as best i can.

Anyway, that's about it for the update. Thanks for reading

Back in the Saddle, Game Development Wise

Well, after the hiatus, we have gotten back to work on Heartbeat. We have been doing some major work on it. We are reworking the Terrain so it looks so much better and has more detail to it.

Also, I personally decided to look at the batch game "Haunted House" and play it through again, i was pretty upset with how it looked and felt bad for putting it up like that. So i took the time to re-edit and add new things to it and spell check it and fix a bunch of game breaking errors. The Revised, updated version is up for download. Also we are adding "Patch Notes" with bullet notes on whats been fixed, changed, and updated.

Thanks for reading this small update.

Morning all, this is BansheeTK here bringing you some news.

First off. I have some news BTKi is down to 3 members, this isn't good, but i am doing my best to make sure this group stays alive.

Also we have added a New "PC" Page tab. This Tab will hold things such as
  • Windows 7 Themes
  • Wallpapers
  • Software's

Also I have been formatting the Site Quite a bit to make it look a bit sleeker and more professional.

Unfortunately, we had to ditch FPS creator due to it being buggy and too unreliable. But we are still working on Heartbeat, we just have to do a few things. We have the concept art nailed for the demon.

That's all for now.

Video Game Developments

2/14/2013

Well, we here at BansheeTKi have come up shorthanded. Bradley quit for his own personal reasons. Avery quit because he wanted to focus on his education (not saying that is a bad thing). Alicia is basically on hiatus. So its just Tristan and I. We have put a pause on Heartbeat and other Video Game Developments for a bit to focus on some more important parts of our lives. No this isn't us saying BansheeTKi is dead. We are currently the site as well as keeping content up to date.

We have decided to keep the Batch and Flash Games sections as a previous member stated
"Why bother saying we are for all gamers if we end up eliminating things that people may want to play?"
So we are going to be developing Batch and Flash Games in the future, we just need to sort out our priorities first before we do anything else.
We do keep the add-on pages up to date. We are also developing a PC Section for the Site so we are branching out to everyone. In the meantime please follow with the updates, be sure to like us on Facebook or Follow us on Twitter (Hell, do both!)

Thanks for reading

UPDATE: 1/9/2012

1/9/2013

First off we would like to wish everyone of our fans a very Belated Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and Qwanza. As well as a Happy Belated New Year.

2012 was a good year for us (Especially since we lived through it XD) and we hope 2013 is good also

Now to start us off for updates.

We have been thinking about it and we are going to get rid of the batch games section, but we are going to have a page addition for content no longer supported which you can still download free of charge off the site.  Also we noticed when we were doing a site update. There appeared to be pages with info missing, deleted, or the page itself is deleted. So we are going to work on getting those back up and restored.

Video Game Updates:

We will be taking a bit of a break from working on Heartbeat as we have other stuff going on in our personal lives which we will not go into detail about. But we are going to be using FPS Creator again and we are going use it to make short games to hold you over till we get back to work on that. As FPS Creator is much more easy to use and can be used to make short little games in a snap. So please forgive us for the delay and we apologize if this upsets you. But We will keep you updated on further things related to Heartbeat.
